Richard* obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Victoria in 1982 and was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1983. While he has extensive experience in many areas of law, his preferred area of practice is personal injury arising from motor vehicle collisions.
Civil Litigation encompasses those legal disputes that individuals bring before the Courts for resolution, such as automobile accidents and non-automobile negligence claims such as supermarket “slip and falls”. These claims are normally brought in the Supreme Court of British Columbia.
Richard’s goal as a lawyer at Johnston Franklin is to provide quality legal services at reasonable cost. For court matters, attempts to reach settlement through negotiation or mediation is always a goal, but only on terms that are beneficial to the client. You can be assured that your interests will be protected by having an experienced and well prepared lawyer on your side presenting the best case possible for judicial consideration.
